- XFS represented 6.4% of all subjects diagnosed with cataracts in the cohort.
- Conversely, among subjects without cataracts, only a small percentage had XFS.
Conclusion: The study concluded that Egypt has a moderate prevalence of XFS compared to other countries. There is a strong association between XFS and cataracts, particularly among elderly males.
