Cairo Day Tour from CIA

We’ll start our visit with a wonderful tour of The Great Sphinx statue It was carved directly out of the bedrock during the 4th Dynasty (c.2613–2494 BC). Which also makes it the oldest. Ancient Egyptian sphinxes represented the king with the body of a lion, in a clear demonstration of his power Giza Pyramids, are two of the most well-known tourist attractions in the world, and they have been since the Old Kingdom Egypt. A king from the fourth dynasty was buried in each of these magnificent buildings (c.2613–2494 BC).

King Khufu (c. 2589–2566 BC) had the Great Pyramid of Giza constructed for him, and the other two were for his son Khafre and grandson Menkaure. The first structure to reach a height greater than Khufu’s pyramid would not be constructed for another 3,800 years! Built in the early 26th century BC during around 27 years, the pyramid is the oldest of the ancient world wonders, initially standing at 146.6 meters. The Great Pyramid was built by quarrying an estimated 2.3 million large blocks weighing 6 million tonnes in total. The majority of stones are not uniform in size or shape and are only roughly dressed.

Then we’ll visit the Egyptian Museum, the largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts in the entire world may be found at this Museum, which is the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East. A huge collection from the Predynastic to the Greco-Roman eras is on display at the museum. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which Is considered the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art In the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun’s collection of treasure, gold, and jewelry which was enclosed In his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered In the 1920s when his tomb was excavated.
Tutankhamun took the throne at eight or nine years of age under the unprecedented viziership of his eventual successor, Ay. He married his paternal half-sister Ankhesenamen. Tutankhamun restored the ancient Egyptian religion after its dissolution by his father, enriched and endowed the priestly orders of two important cults, and began restoring old monuments damaged during the previous Amarna period.

At the end of the tour, we’ll visit the Famous bazaar and market Khan el-Khalili which is located in Cairo’s ancient district.
The bazaar district, which was first a hub of commerce during the Mamluk era and was given its name after one of its several old caravanserais, has since grown to become one of Cairo’s top tourist destinations for both Egyptians and foreign visitors.
Additionally, it is the location of numerous Egyptian craftsmen and workshops that produce traditional crafts and trinkets. Historically, the name Khan el-Khalili applied to just one structure in the region; currently, it describes the entire commercial area.
